We worked the same magic we did for the SCAR heavies and developed an ENHANCED 15% stronger rate spring for the SCAR light variants. It slows your BCG more efficiently throughout its entire run in the upper receiver dissipating its energy in a much more gradual and controlled fashion. This saves the buffer-pad and your receivers from taking all the residual grunt of impact.
When testing, our SCAR16 and 15P felt like we where shooting water pistols at the targets. This will make you a faster shooter, since it will help retain your sight picture through your scope, red-dot, or holographic sight. Paired up with one of our revolutionary rubberized pads, and it didn’t even feel like we were shooting a real gun seriously. The 15% stiffer spring rate is simply achieved by winding the spring from a slightly bigger gage wire material and using less coils. This also makes it much more resistant to “taking a set” (getting shorter and weaker) over time because the coils come nowhere near close to bottoming out resulting in a spring that will outlast any OEM spring.
You will also enjoy being able to bolt release chamber your SCAR in a vertical orientation ( just like the tough guys in the movies ). We know that this is something a SCAR with a tired old spring cannot do well sometimes.
