Description
The shortest barrels for your MCX all come with 5/8-24 large taper and threads, even the ones chambered in 5.56. This adapter enables you to go back to the standard 1/2-28 threads that allow you to use the smorgasbord of cheap, common, and compatible muzzle devices, and suppressor mounts so you can easily configure your MCX EXACTLY the way you want.
Depending on which barrel you have, we have measured a very consistent 1-1/4″ inch of added length to the host barrel. It also has a minimum through-bore of 21/64″ (0.328 inch) to accommodate even 30cal projectiles. When used with 30 caliber (300 blackout) applications, please take into consideration that the muzzle device used also needs to clear the projectile.
This thread adapter is solely intended to be used as this description indicates.
